THREE tv series 1998
Three was a television series created by Evan Katz for the WB in 1998. It was the first time I saw Julie Bowen who went on to bigger fame with next series Ed (which was the first time I saw Tom Cavanaugh) and she got bigger fame with the series Modern Family. It also had Bumper Robinson who has been on so many shows and movies everyone probably knows him from something different. It also had David Warner in a role that he played perfectly. Reviewers felt it was too similar to Mod Squad but I think the similarity was superficial. As happens with tv series it was aired out of order so a character would show up as if we knew him and the episode that introduces him would air after, also the feeling of these three building a relationship slowly went out the window because one week they work together and the next they don't trust each other. I watched it weekly until one night an extra episode of Seventh Heaven was aired instead of the episode of Three listed in the TV Guide. As the years went on I found the entire series had played in other countries.
This post is imagining if they decided to cash in on Evan Katz' and Julie Bowen's popularity and released the whole show on DVD with bonus features that I would have wanted.
