Living Large songs in praise of bigger women

There have been lot of albums of love songs. Some focus on the dainty but I wanted to put together a volume about the more full-figured gal. It includes songs from 1944 to 2008. Loving Large - YouTube

Assignment: Earth spin-off of Star Trek

Image
This is one I have thought about for a while and when I heard about Teri Garr's passing, I figured I would continue in earnest. Star Trek's second season ended with a "backdoor pilot" for a possible series that could have been America's answer to Doctor Who. While travelling back to 1968, the crew of the Enterprise meet an enigmatic character named Gary Seven. The episode is mostly about him and is actually an origin story for a possible series. The episode even ends with Spock saying that "Mr. Seven and Miss Lincoln (Garr's character) have some interesting experiences in store." It was not, however, picked up as a series so I imagined a DVD cover if the series was made and added some ideas of what stories be used. I also figure Gold Key would do a comic of it so I created an imaginary 1960s comic cover as well. Here is fan made opening credits for the series that doesn't exist, to give you an idea: Assignment Earth Opening (Improved)

The Shadow playlist

Image
A collection of songs based around the pulp and radio character The Shadow. I open it with a piece by Saint-Saens that was used for the theme of the radio show. Two "The Shadow Knows", one by Link Wray and one by The Coasters, yet one is not remake of the other. Two songs based on things The Shadow said on the radio: "What Evil Lurks" and "Crime Does Not Pay". A song by Janet Jackson called "Black Eagle" which is what the Shadow was known as in WWI and includes the line "come out of the shadows".  A song called "Margo" in reference to a character created for the radio show and later added to the pulp stories. I conclude with a radio episode that has three rare appearances other characters from the pulp, Moe Shrevnitz, Joe Cardona and Commissioner Weston.  The Shadow playlist - YouTube

Green Arrow series with Justin Hartley

Image
After Smallville went off the air I heard there was going to be a Green Arrow series. I presumed it was going to be a spin-off of the Oliver Queen from Smallville but the network wanted to do something different. In my alternate dimension Oliver Queen is in season six of Smallville just like we know it but in 2008 he would get a spin-off series and the stories they had for him in seasons eight, etc. would be used for that. Characters from both shows would still cameo on both shows. It would be like what the Arrowverse became later. This time instead of just the cover and the booklet and added a slipcase that these shows often came in. Just print the last two images on card stock, cut, fold and paste at top and bottom.

Songs of the Green Lama

Image
The Green Lama was a pulp hero that first appeared in the April 1940 issue of Double Detective magazine. He stood out from other heroes in that he was a Buddhist lama. I chose a variety of songs for this. Benny Goodman seemed a good fit in that it is from the time period of the pulps. I wanted to use "Bein' Green", I knew Kermit's original version and my dad had a Ray Charles album with it . When I found Sinatra had covered it, I had to include it. Diaba$e's album Baker's Dozen uses a clip from the Green Lama radio show at the beginning of a few songs. I concluded the album with the first radio show of the Green Lama.
