Wonder Woman series with Cathy Lee Crosby

Image
In 1974 ABC Television aired a tv movie of Wonder Woman starring Cathy Lee Crosby. A year and a half later ABC tried again with Lynda Carter. This version was more like the comics and took place during WWII. It was picked up as a series and ran on ABC from April 1976 to February 1977. Then CBS picked it up for two more seasons, made it modern and now she worked for an intelligence agency like the 1974 pilot.       I have wondered what the series would have been like if they stuck with Crosby version. I imagine the rogue Paradise Island friend of Diana's would come back having been experimented on with Cheetah blood and become a powerful nemesis. As the show went on, they would probably incorporate more from the comics.       Above is sleeve for the DVD case and the outer slip sleeve case for this imagined series.       There was another proposed Wonder Woman series in 1967. MOONLIGHTING music from season 1 & 2

Image
The show Moonlighting  had some great music. MCA Records put out a soundtrack with some expected songs: the theme, a couple of songs from star Cybill Shepherd, one a cover of song from 1948 and "Blue Moon", (she had released an album in 1974 that was covers of Cole Porter tunes) and a cover The Rascal's song "Good Lovin'" from star Bruce Willis,  (which would have fit right in with the other songs on his 1987 album "Return of Bruno"). The soundtrack had a lot of great songs heard in the show, but I was still hoping for some others. How was Mitch Ryder's "Devil with a Blue Dress On" not included considering how it was featured in the last episode of season two.       So, what if they had a slightly more thorough soundtrack? I concentrated on only the first two seasons. This is not all the songs, but I think it is a better representation of what was heard on the show. Moonlighting music from season 1 & 2 - YouTub...

Jack Slater IV from Last Action Hero

Image
One of the first fake movie covers I did for this blog was Scorcher VI  from Tropic Thunder . Now I present to you Jack Slater IV  from another action series that doesn't exist. Last Action Hero was a 1993 action/comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was filled with "meta" jakes about action movies in general and Arnold specifically.  Last action hero - Trailer

Robin Sparkles Greatest Hits (How I Met Your Mother)

Image
In season two of How I Met Your Mother  the audience and other characters found that Robin Scherbatsky had been a pop star in Canada under the name Robin Sparkles. Her friends gathered around to watch her video "Let's Go to the Mall". In season three a second video from her past was viewed. It wasn't until season six that we find she parlayed her pop stardom into being on a kid's show called "Space Teens". Season nine showed that she had tried to change her image to Robin Daggers. After the show went off the air it seemed that would be the last of it until Cobie Smulders, the actress that played Robin, released a COVID themed version of "Let's Go to the Mall" with her playing piano and singing from her home.
