other versions of KISS 1978

I was far from the first person to think of making a Kiss album from the group's solo albums. After my blog was done, I decided to check out other people's ideas. I looked at Uncle Dan's website:  What If - Misc: KISS - Radioactive - 1978  , Michael Brandvold's YouTube channel 3 Sides of the Coin where he discussed it with Tommy Sommers:  Ep. 87 What If... KISS Recorded a KISS Album in 1978 Using the Solo Albums as Demos (youtube.com)  , Kiss Army Things' video where brothers Jeb and Xander talk about it and a recent video by Louis Borselio which was his "what if" variation   KISS - Up From The Ashes. The 1978 Album KISS Never Made. A WHAT IF FANTASY ALBUM (youtube.com)  . It was interesting to hear each person's idea of how they would do a 1978 album. Of the seven of us, the only song we all agreed on was "Radioactive" to be on our albums, 6 out of 7 of us used "Rip It Out" and "Tonight You Belong to Me" and 5 out of 7 c

KISS Heroes 1978

In 1978 Kiss were at the height of their popularity. Instead of releasing a new studio album they released four, or none depending on how you count it. Each of the four members released a solo album under the Kiss banner. For this alternate take I chose songs from the four albums to make one Kiss album. I tried to avoid choosing favorites and just pick which might be on a Kiss album. I loosely based the structure on 1979's Dynasty, so one song from Peter, a few from Ace and split the rest by Paul and Gene. I had three songs from Peter that I kept vacillating between. I settled on "Don't You Let Me Down" which was also on the 2005 greatest hits collection Kiss Gold. For Ace I chose "Rip It Out" and "What's on You Mind?". I was going skip his cover of Hello's "New York Groove" but it was the biggest hit from the four albums and I figure it would be this album's analog to Ace's cover of the Rolling Stones song "2,000 M

THREE tv series part 2

This is the probably the last post about the series Three. I wanted to include the booklet that would go inside the DVD case with a rundown of the episodes. I also added the bonus features that I would like if this were ever a reality.

THREE tv series 1998

Three was a television series created by Evan Katz for the WB in 1998. It was the first time I saw Julie Bowen who went on to bigger fame with next series Ed (which was the first time I saw Tom Cavanaugh) and she got bigger fame with the series Modern Family . It also had Bumper Robinson who has been on so many shows and movies everyone probably knows him from something different. It also had David Warner in a role that he played perfectly. Reviewers felt it was too similar to Mod Squad but I think the similarity was superficial. As happens with tv series it was aired out of order so a character would show up as if we knew him and the episode that introduces him would air after, also the feeling of these three building a relationship slowly went out the window because one week they work together and the next they don't trust each other. I watched it weekly until one night an extra episode of  Seventh Heaven was aired instead of the episode of Three  listed in the TV Guide. As t

Pink Floyd Radio K.A.O.S. 1987

This post is similar to the Genesis album I put together last November. Roger Waters left Pink Floyd to become a solo act. David Gilmour took the role of leader and the band continued. Feel free to make any comparisons between Roger Waters and Petere Gabriel. To put Waters back into Pink Floyd I chose "Home" and "The Tide Is Turning" from Waters' 1987 album Radio K.A.O.S. as well as "Going to Live in L.A.", the b-side of "Radio Waves" and "Get Back to Radio", the b-side to "Sunset Strip". From Pink Floyd's 1987 album A Momentary Lapse of Reason I pulled "Signs of Life", "Learning to Fly", "One Slip", "On the Turning Away" and "A New Machine parts 1 and 2". https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCHnLE0OxajFcUf9F4Qc6b5W1gJTDYiYE&si=XraQwYeblpbx_Jm_
